Running

I have started running!

If you know or met me 7-10 years ago, you would know very well that I was never model thin or super fit, but I was much thinner and I worked out regularly. We’re talking running 3-5 miles 5 times a week and yoga for 90 minutes 3 times a week, as well as a gym session every few days.

…And then 3 years ago, having graduated, got a job and became comfortable I started doing less. I found myself no longer doing Yoga and running much less. 4 months ago I hit my all-time fattest, I had gained around 20 pounds…yowsers!!! Sure I had moved to a new city (Nor Cal) found myself living alone and with a new job that paid well so I could eat like I was on vacation every day. Let me tell you the calories add up and every 5 nice or so dinners is about a pound!

About 4 months ago, I came home to my parents and siblings….and thankfully they said what they thought “Nanc you go fat and I’m not talking “P H”” as they laughed.

 

I shoke it off, but a few days later I found myself going to the gym, and the next day yoga. For the last 2 weeks (maybe 3) I have been running instead of eating lunch or dinner. And I have been cooking at home more, or grabbing a low-Cal salad at wholefoods!!!

I feel better and today as I was running; I wasn’t even that tired halfway through my run. Things are looking up…

I have a long way to go but I will get back to what I looked like 7 years ago 🙂
